Nothing in the hub sets this scene off, and nothing in the game changes when it ends. It runs from the story itself.
No act list names this scene, so a run does not place it in an act. The scene number above is its slot in the full story list, not the order you meet it in a run.

The scene
I wasn’t bluffin bout none of that, "anything you can fathom” wager. I gave it to ‘em. Whatever they asked for.
…and not a penny more.
The mademoiselle trekked back to her roots. The ol’ empire had been through a handful of dark ages in her absence, but as luck would have it, she rolled up just in time to usurp a naive heir apparent.
Mana was hers to gift… provided you sufficiently groveled for it.
Now and then she’d get bored, super charging some small potatoes despot just to see what they’d do with the power.
It mixed things up, but never enough to challenge the throne. Never enough to remedy the boredom.
The young buck ascended to the plane he’d always revered; A deity, peers with his own idols.
He entered the court of the mythics head held high, dead set on straightening things out.
Matcha was sure that with a solid argument and a few tricks of rhetoric he could bring an end to the bickering, burying the many hatchets once and for all.
Poor kid barely got a word out ‘fore they’d heard enough.
Seemed like the only thing they agreed on was that the new kid on the block needed to learn his place.
Thoroughly ticked off, Matcha decided it was his turn to quarrel in the court.
He was a mythic, after all.
Coffee returned home to find his supposed birth right bustling with activity.
Wasn’t hard to orchestrate a hostile takeover, freezing out the incumbent CEO and leavin’ slick at the helm of a boomin’ industry.
Then came time for acquisition and expansion. First the continent, next the planet, and finally beyond the horizon onto greener planetary pastures.
Not every new market was as open to disruption as Coffee had hoped. But hey, that’s on them for standing in the path of market forces.
But aaah- funny thing bout unstoppable forces… they always manage to run into something…
immovable.
As for Rum, he stayed put.
Watched it all fall apart from the best seat in the house. Don’t think he enjoyed the show too much, but you get what you pay for.
And then there was the rabbit girl. One last debt to settle before Odds was finally square.
