The sixth!

My mistake. How many spires are there?

Six in total, one for each mythic and the sixth as a symbol of unity. They aren't literal spires mind you, they're more like monuments!
Matcha
Think of them as shrines, aspiring to reach above and appease those who live beyond the clouds.
Milk
...and who are the cloud people again?

The mythics of course! Ancient arcane entities bending the awesome forces of nature to their whims!

Sounds a bit... dramatic

It's epic! It's legendary! It's... Mythical.
Milk
I suppose it would be handy. You'd never have to worry about a drought for a start. I mean, you could skip winter altogether if they were especially good natured.

Are they... Good natured?
Matcha
Yes. I mean... sometimes. It depends.

The mythics are temperamental... And easily offended. They bicker quite a bit.
Milk
Your gods… bicker? Like kids?

They are custodians of great and clashing forces. Its only natural they disagree from time to time.

Can’t imagine they hash their differences out over dinner…

They have a court. They debate. Mostly…

And when that doesn’t work?

They fight. Which usually manifests as some sort of natural disaster for the rest of us to sort out.

That's why the sixth spire and moreover my studies are so important.

If we mortals can appease the right mythics at the right time, exercising enough caution to not cause great offense or exhibit favoritism... Well we'd live in paradise.
